Business Development Manager (North America)

7twenty Professional Search is delighted to be partnering with Ulster Weavers to appoint a Business Development Manager for North America. Ulster Weavers is an award winning, family-owned business who supply high-quality textile products to prestigious clients globally. This is a newly created position due to continued growth further into international markets.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust sales strategy across the USA and Canada and to identify opportunities for sales growth in both new and existing markets. The successful candidate will manage an existing portfolio of clients and develop new opportunities to grow revenue.

Reporting the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will manage and develop key internal and external relationships, track new markets and emerging trends, and recommend new products and services. They will establish new strategic partnerships to deliver profitable growth and contribute towards the success of the divisional sales team.


The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Significant experience in an international sales management role, characterised by growth and performance improvement.
  • Successful track record of developing and implementing a sales strategy with a track record of winning and growing sales and maximising new opportunities.
  • Significant experience of key account management with a complex and diverse customer base.
  • Proven ability in strategic planning delivering quantifiable business growth and
  • profit improvement in domestic and/or international markets.
  • Sound commercial acumen and experience of negotiation, influencing and a proven ability to close a deal and meet sales targets.
